The Alps Hockey League is an International League, which was founded 2016/17 with 16 teams from Italy (8), Austria (7) and Slovenia (1). The founding clubs are Rittner Buam, HC Pustertal Wolves, Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935, HC Fassa Falcons, Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro, HC Neumarkt Riwega, HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan (all from ITA), HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice (SLO) and EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau, FBI VEU Feldkirch, EK Zeller Eisbären, Red Bull Hockey Juniors, EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, EC Bregenzerwald, EC-KAC II (all from AUT). With the first face-off at the game HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice vs. HC Gherdeina valgardena.it finally started on September 17th September 2016 a new chaptor in (international) hockey.
 
The Alps Hockey League has expanded 2017/18. HDD SZ Olimpija (Ljubljana) has become the 17th member.
 
The first milestone was set by Erik Pance, who scored for HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice after just 43 seconds the first goal in Alps Hockey League. Assisted was the goal by Nate DiCasmirro and Jure Sotlar. In the end the Slovenes won against  HC Gherdeina valgardena.it 8:2. Also the first Power Play goal was made by Benjamin Kostner from HC Ghederina valgardena.it after 20:47 minutes already in the SKY AHL-opener.
 
A piece of Alps Hockey League history was also written in round 3 on September 24th 2016: Gianni Scola of HC Fassa Falcons – in the 5:0-home-win against HC Gherdeina valgardena.it - and Valle da rin Martino from Sportivi Ghiacchio Cortina Hafro – in the 2:0-home-win over Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 – got the first Shut-outs.
 
In round 6 in 2016/17-season for the first time more then 60 minutes were needed to find the winner: Thanks a goal from Philipp Wilhelmer at 62:42 EC-KAC II got the first (2:1-)Overtime-win in SKY Alps Hockey League at HC Pustertal Wolves. Also Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 won on October 1st 2016  in Overtime vs. HC Ghederina valgardena.it. Besides Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro celebrated on the same day thanks a goal from Zachary Torquato the first win after Shoot-out in SKY Alps Hockey League vs. HC Fassa Falcons.

The longest winning-streak has celebrated Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1925: The Italians have won 17 straight games 2017/18. Rittner Buam have celebrated 14 consecutive wins 2016/17. EC-KAC II has had the longest bad run so far. Klagenfurt has been defeated in 21 straight games at the beginning of the 2017/18-season.
 
97 points and 33 wins
A record (for the eternity) has been set by Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935. The Italians have collected 97 points or 33 wins out of 40 games in the regular season 2017/18. Rittner Buam were the best team 2016/17, they have collected 77 points or 26 wins from 30 games the year before.
 
16 goals in one game
The most goals in a SKY Alps Hockey League game in regular season were made so far on November 26th 2016 between EC-KAC II and EK Zeller Eisbären. After totally 16 goals and another milestone the Polar Bears won at Klagenfurt clearly with 12:4.
HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice has celebrated the biggest success. The Red Steelers have won at EC-KAC II on November 22th 2017 - 11:1 or +10 goals.
 
Rittner Buam were the first team in the Play-offs
Rittner Buam were the first team, that could qualify for a Play-off in SKY Alps Hockey League – another milestone! Already on December 18th 2016 the Italians were qualified 2016/17 for the Post-Season.

Anthony Nigro (ASH) has scored the most points (70) 2016/17, Erik Pance (JES) has netted most goals (32)
Anthony Bardaro (ASH) has been Topscorer (79 points) and best goalscorer (37G) of the 2017/18-season.
 
25 games for 100 goals
25 games needed the Rittner Buam 2016/17 to reach as the first team on December 26th 2016 their 100th goal of the season.
 
1.466 goals from 240 games
1.466 goals were scored in the first regular Alps Hockey League season from 30 games, in average 6,11 goals per game. Goal number 1.000 in SKY Alps Hockey League was made by Oscar Ahlström on December 13th 2016 – it was the 4:4 for the Rittner Buam in minute 50 at Neumarkt.

Just 55 goals received HC Pustertal Wölfe 2016/17 from 30 games in regular season – another milestone in SKY AHL-history.

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice has managed with +87 the best goal-difference so far! The Slovenes have scored 171 goals and allowed just 88 goals out of 30 regular season games 2017/18.
 
The youngest and oldest
The youngest player, who played so far in regular season in SKY Alps Hockey League is Thimo Nickl (born: 04.12.2001). The defenseman was in his first game for EC-KAC II on October 16th 2016 against FBI VEU Feldkirch just 14 years and 317 days old. The oldest player and also goal-scorer in SKY AHL is Igor Rataj (born: 03.11.1973). The Forward was already 43 years and 65 days old, when scoring his last goal for EK Zeller Eisbären in regular season in SKY Alps Hockey League.
